CRUK project started - Job Advert for postdoc position live!

The CRUK funded project has officially started and we are currently in the process of recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to work in Newcastle. The project involves examining the tumour biology/physics of hyaluronan and elucidating its role in the cancer resistance of the naked mole rat. Come and join us if you have an interest in cancer biology/tissue engineering.

Cancer Research UK Award

We have been awarded a Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Multidisciplinary grant to investigate the anti cancer properties of naked mole rat hyaluronan with the ultimate aim of exploiting such findings for treating human cancer. This award is in collaboration with Kenneth Rankin (Newcastle, Northern Institute of Cancer Research) and Ewan St John Smith (Cambridge, Pharmacology).

Postdocs will be recruited for this 4 year project in both Newcastle and Cambridge so please contact either one of us if interested.
